- Deck. 32 cards (7..A). Deal 10 + 10 + 10 + 2 (the "Skat").
- Roles. One declarer vs two defenders. Defenders work together.
- Skat phase. Declarer picks up the 2 Skat cards, discards 2 (count toward declarer's points), and names a trump suit.
- Card order. All 4 Jacks are trumps (J♣ > J♠ > J♥ > J♦). Then within trump: A > T > K > Q > 9 > 8 > 7. Same order off-suit (Jacks excluded).
- Points. A=11, T=10, K=4, Q=3, J=2. Total 120. Declarer needs >60 to win.
- v1 note. No bidding, no Grand/Null/Schneider/Schwarz contracts. You are always the declarer.
